These were shot a few weeks ago in Honkahalli, a local basketball venue. The athletes in these photos are the Vanjoki brothers, Viljami & Anselmi. This was a really nice photoshoot, and I’m hoping to continue shooting more of these types of photos in the future.</p> <p>And so that this post would help you to learn something new today, I thought I’d discuss about the lighting that was used in the photo on the left (my personal favourite from this shoot). </p> <p>I had two Falcon Eyes -lights with medium-sized softboxes on both sides of the subject, both at about 1/16. And in addition to that I set-up an overhead flash about 10 feet (3 metres) away from the subject - to fill in the shadows. This gave me a really nice and balanced lighting, which also helped in creating this dramatic look.</p> <p>The slight “fog” that you see in the photo was created in Photoshop and then I did some basic color work and dodging & burning to finish this one off. Voilá!
